WHAT

Professorship: scholar of critical/comparative ethnic studies in the long 19th century, a joint English-African American Studies department hire.

Penn State University. The professorship will start on August 2019.

TOPICS

The Departments of English and African American Studies invite applications for a tenure-line, jointly appointed position . This is an open-rank search that is part of a cluster hire within the College of the Liberal Arts at Penn State. Applicants will have a Ph.D. (must be completed by time of appointment) in a relevant discipline or field of critical/comparative ethnic studies in the long 19th century and a strong research and teaching portfolio, with diasporic approaches welcome. The teaching load is 2 courses per semester. Information about the department can be found here.
